Description:
Friday -
Peru Fireworks - JC Phillips will be broadcasting live from Water Street starting at 7pm.  Make sure to tune into 99-3 WAJK to watch the fireworks while synchronized to music.
 
Saturday -
Streator Fireworks - again tune to 99-3 WAJK to listen to the music while watching the synchronized fireworks.  Come early and watch the annual Lip-Sync contest prior to the fireworks

Name: Peru Municipal Band

Description:
The Peru Municipal Band will be performing two concerts this weekend in observance of Independence Day.  The concerts will feature many patriotic musical selections including marches, military tributes, traditional favorites and songs of historical significance.
 
The first concert, held in conjunction with Peru's "Water Street Independence Day Celebration" will be at 7pm on Friday, July 3rd at the flag pole on Water Street by Maze Lumber.
 
The second performance will be at Liberty Village in north Peru at 2pm on Sunday, July 5th.
 
Concertgoers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs with them for both performances.
